Spark! Pro series – 25th March 2022 Spiceworks Originalsįor other uses, see Friday (disambiguation).I reinstalled the OS, removing the Conexant drivers from SSM and the sound works with the generic drivers, but the Bang and Olufsen software and sound optimization is lost.
I see 2 recent posts on other sites reporting the same issue on Lenovo and other HP PCs. This leaves the system with no audio at all and the speaker icon with a red X. It breaks so badly that the generic audio driver that works is removed/broken and the Conexant drivers fail to install. On another system that had the same driver installed on 1709 and was later upgraded to 1803, the driver and Bang and Olufsen software remained installed, but on new 1803 installations, it won't install.
I did run the HP Software Download Manager today and verified it was actually the latest available version and it was.
I am building a new Windimage and SSM hangs trying to install the latest Conexant audio driver. The version of Windows is 4."A Conexant audio device could not be found" error after SSM.exe spends over 15 minutes attempting to silently install the Softpaq, It says that the latest drivers are already installed. There was also a RealTek Audio driver installed, but this wasn't working and wouldn't appear in device manager under sound devices. When adding the RealTek High Def Audio device, the process finishes with Error 10, saying that it cannot start the device. I have also uninstalled the RealTek audio driver and reinstalled the oldest one I could find that still works for Windows 10. After that, the Conexant UIU service was able to run, but I there are now only two Conexant Audio services present in services.msc, one beingĬonexant Audio Messages Service, and the other being the one mentioned above. I've tried all of your suggested commands, only sfc/scannow picked up that there were errors and repaired them. If none of the above steps work, you likely need to update your BIOS, Chipset drivers and or install an older version of the Realtek driver.īest regards, Andre Da Costa Independent Advisor for Directly This should launch Windows Update and scan for newer drivers.ĭouble click it then change Startup type to ‘Automatic’ If it doesn't find an updated driver and says the best one is already installed, in that same window, click Search for updated drivers on Windows Update
